We know how the North moves…
Cooper started barging services on the Mackenzie and Liard Rivers in 1942, expanding into construction and trucking during the 1960s.
Over the years, we’ve learned what it takes to reliably move your goods here. Our detailed experience with local route conditions – in the harshest of winters and through the “gumbo” of summers – gives us the knowledge to ensure your freight gets where you need it, on schedule.
Cooper Barging Services directly employs some 20 seasoned transportation pros throughout the year, with up to 20 more during the peak of summer barging and winter trucking. We take care to grow their expertise, with on-going training and education and by sharing of the wisdom we’ve collected through the years.
It’s this approach that continues to make us a leader in transportation safety in the North.
And when you need services that we don’t do ourselves, we’re probably already working with the right sub-contractor, or we can connect you with one of the best.
